Hola! Cómo se darán cuenta tiene mucho que no publico un LO, el tiempo no ha sido mi mejor amigo y mucho me temo que Noviembre será un mes infernal en cuanto a trabajo luego entonces no creo actualizar mi blog en un rato, ni hacer scrap!

Howdy! It’s been a time since I don’t post a LO; well time isn’t my friend right now and I’m afraid that November is going to be the busiest month of the year at work, therefore I won’t update my blog often and I’m barely gonna scrap!

Les cuento que esta foto es la primer foto que nos tomamos mi mejor amiga y yo después de casi 2 años sin vernos (larga historia) jajaja y bueno la última foto q teníamos juntas fue en mi boda en 2004.

Let me tell you: This photo is the first of my best friend and me after 2 years without seeing each other (long story) lol the last one was taken on my wedding (2004)

Como verán hoy si tengo un proyecto en proceso hehe… un mini album.

Hola Hola… hoy me uno al reto de “que hay en mi escritorio los jueves” posteado por la talentosa Emily Adams, la cual tomó la inspiración de un sitio online.

I’m joining to the… what’s on my desk Thursday’s challenge (posted by Emily Adams) I know she took the inspiration from a website.

Así que cada jueves, les compartiré una foto de lo que haya en mi escritorio.

Actualmente no estoy trabajando en algún proyecto así que estoy leyendo el nuevo libro de Ali Edwards (que compré hace 2 semanas), también veo… mi guillotina de fiskars, una hoja de Ki lace, una calculadora, una cinta mágica hehe, pinturas acrílicas de making memories y mi pegamento favorito: Tombow Mono.

I’m not working on a project right now so I’m reading the new Ali Edwards’ book that I bought a couple of weeks ago, I spy my fiskars trimmer, a sheet of Ki lace, a calculator lol a scotch tape, Making memories paint and my favorite glue: Tombow mono adhesive.

Claro que tengo una hoja de la nueva línea de Luxe Designs “It’s about time” que estoy reservando para hacer un LO sobre mi padre.

Of course  I have a sheet of the new Luxe Designs line “It’ about time” I want to make a LO about my dad so I’m reserving that sheet!

Y como comparto el espacio con mi esposo, esta es su parte…

Since I share the space with my husband, this is his part…

El ama el modelista de autos tanto como yo amo al scrap jiji, así que este es su proyecto.

He loves car modeling, so this is his project!

Y este es mi escritorio de trabajo…

Veo papeles, papeles y más papeles.

I see… papers, papers & papers.

Trabajo para una editorial, asi que mi vida es hacer libros, sobretodo en inglés (lo sé mi inglés es terrible) jeje

I work for a publishing so my life is making books, specially English Books (I know my English s*cks)

Mi editora envia cambios y comentarios en pdf o en papel y yo tengo que leer cada uno de ellos y hacerlos en Indesign (un software de edición), el papel de la derecha es un “book map” = como está el libro hecho y como se mandan las hojas a impresión.

My editor sends her comments & annotations on pdf or paper and I have to read every single one and make the changes on Indesign the paper at the right is the book map = how the book is made and how the sheets are going to print.

Wow, que divertido… Nos vemos el próximo Jueves!

Hoy les comparto mi primer layout para Chatterbox!

Here’s my first DT layout for Chatterbox!

Este pequeñito es Sebastián y es sobrino de mi mejor amiga.

This little one is Sebastian, my best friend’s nephew.

Esta es una de mis combinaciones de color favorita: Chocolate, verde y turquesa. También adoro trabajar con texturas y la línea artsy.licous de Chatterbox está genial, hay papeles con glitter, con barníz, con terciopelo, metálicos! Wow

This is one of my favorite color combo: Green and blue paired with chocolate brown. I adore working with textures and the artsy.licous line is awesome, there are papers glittered, flocked, lacquered, engraved, etc Wow!

También adoro darle volúmen a mis layouts en este caso a las fotos, que tienen unos cuadritos de pegamento de 3M, geniales para este efecto.

Also I love to give some dimension on my LO’s, in this case to the photos. I used some little squares with glue made by 3M.

Last Tuesday a friend of mine, suddenly lost her husband. He was only 38. He leaves his wife and two children, ages 4 and 7. We’re really sad & devastated for her.

El martes pasado, una amiga perdió repentinamente a su esposo, quién solo tenía 38 años, dejandola a ella y a sus 2 pequeños de 4 y 7 años; realmente estamos muy tristes y abatidas por ella.

She’s a fellow scrapper and all of us have seen how the scrap community is loving and generous, We could do something for her!!

De verdad tenía la mejor intención de escribir más seguido pero una HORROROSA gripa me ha tenido mal y de malas! Así que ahorita a las 2 am, en medio de un ataque de tos es tiempo de actualizar mi blog

Precisamente acabo de terminar un mini-album que les mostraré después con la nueva línea Sprinkles de Luxe.

Ups, sin querer han pasado casi 3 semanas sin actualizar mi blog; para variar he estado muy ocupada… con mucho trabajo y haciendo scrap.

Ops I haven’t update my blog in the last threee weeks, life is crazy here… I’m so busy with my job & scrapping.

Y hablando de scrap, les comparto un LO que hice con la nueva línea Color me de Luxe designs.

Here’s a LO that I did with the newest Color me Line of Luxe.

En realidad nunca había pintado en los papeles, siempre he recortado los dibujos y así los uso en mis LO’s pero ahora decidí pintar usando acuarelas y Twinkling H2O’s (acuarelas que dejan un brillo al final)

Actually I’ve had never painted on the papers, I always cut the little figures and use them as accents on my LO’s but for this Lo I painted with watercolors & Twinkling H2O’s and I love the result.

Prometo regresar con más proyectos de Luxe Designs.

I promise, I’ll come back later with more Luxe’s projects.
